Believe it or not, you can actually get some amazing shoes at Payless. You've just gotta give 'em a try.
Ask anyone and they'll tell you that I am a total shoe snob. I usually have very definite opinions on footwear and tend to favor Prada, Roger Vivier, Chrisitan Louboutin and Miu Miu. HOWEVER, I also have my fair share of footwear from H&M, Zara and even Payless ShoeSource.
If you haven't shopped the Payless designer shoes ever, you really ought to–and this season is a fine time to start! The company has worked with Abaeté, Lela Rose, Christian Siriano and Alice + Olivia on seasonal shoe collections featuring boots, flats, heels, tennis shoes, wedges and all kinds of handbags as well.
Right now we're loving the Lela Rose for Payless Neilson Bow Flats (seen above, $29.99) and ordered them in both the gray line print as well as solid black. The low cut is really flattering on the foot and the large, relaxed twist bow at the toe is quite perfect, actually. Buy this one true to size.

Christian Siriano's shoes for Spring 2010 were equally adored and blasted by critics for their avant-garde efforts. We love the toned-down Coast Print Satin Pump ($34.99) in both the blue and fiery versions (which we bought a few weeks ago), and were thrilled to discover that Payless added the more sculptural style online as well! The To the Point Printed Platform Pump ($79.99) is a bit much, but will certainly appeal to all Siriano fans out there who crave a piece of the catwalk. We suggest going a half size up for these styles.
And to those of you still shaking your heads, remember this: What's really great about an inexpensive pair of shoes (aside from the price) is the freedom they give you to dance hard in heels in even seedy places like Lit.
Have you shopped at Payless lately?

Yes!!!!! This is so funny because I wore a pair of Christian Siriano for Payless shoes today and my mom...MY MOM asked me if they were Zanotti. Oh how silly and ignorant passed generations are. Posting community post now. -
