We love Monica Botkier just as much as her chic accessories, so we asked the savvy designer to spill on her favorite photographers, movies, music, restaurants and more. See what makes her life StyledOn, here.
Her bags are the best (we still die for the Trigger, and are now obsessed with the Rivington), she collects gorgeous antique jewelry, and her footwear is quickly becoming our latest obsession (especially her new fall boots). Needless to say, we trust Monica Botkier's taste to the very end. We've now asked the designer to join us in our StyledOn Influencer Series to share a few the things that make her life StyledOn...
Favorite restaurants: Tomo for sushi, La Esquina (the taco dispensing counter-service taqueria and late night party spot on Kenmare with a more extensive menu served in the dining room around the corner – also a StyledOn fave), Freeman's Alley.
Favorite photographers: Guy Bourdin, Nan Goldin, Inez and Vinoodh .
Best stores from home décor: Michael Vartian, Flou, ABC Carpet and Home.
Favorite music: Chaka Khan, M.I.A., Mos Def, MGMT, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bob Marley (always), Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Bill Withers, Cat Power, Eagles, and Feist.
Favorite movies: Saturday Night Fever, The Deerhunter, Annie Hall.
Best bags of the season: Botkier Howard st satchel, Botkier Rivington bucket bag, Proenza Schouler PS1, The Mulberry Alexa.
Currently wearing: Philip Lim dresses, Alexander Wang T's , Citizens for Humanity jeans and my Botkier gold mesh gladiators.
Favorite item: Canon G11 camera.

Botkier bags were one of the first bags I identified as designer when I was younger.
