Using the paralytic powers of the viper's venom, Planet Skincare offers some of the best products around. Prepared to be charmed...

Planet Skincare's Syn-ake Seduction

Several weeks ago, I was invited to try out Planet Skincare and have a facial by the lovely and talented Caroline Clapperton. Clapperton, who owns a beauty spa in the UK, founded Planet Skincare in 1997 with the mission to improve skin health. Dedicated to that purpose, she has developed her line of products using only the highest quality products backed by science.

To be perfectly honest here, I'm not one to easily fall for beauty products, but I was drawn to Planet Skincare due to the use of Syn-ake (I have a rather serious fascination with the slithering reptiles) and the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow is a fan.

Planet Skincare's Anti-Aging Moisturizer contains the star ingredient, Syn-ake, a synthetic snake venom created to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters that cause facial tension and contraction. Fine lines and wrinkles, beware: Completely free of irritating parabens and created with passion flower oil, rose oil and vitamin E (among other things), the moisturizer feels incredibly luxurious, has an incredible smoothing effect and also smells fantastic.

The Instant Firming Serum is just as good as the moisturizer stimulating the formation of collagen, thus strengthening the skin's connective tissue and providing a long-lasting, youthful appearance.

I've been using both Planet Skincare's Anti-Aging Moisturizer as well as the Instant Firming Serum for a while now and recommend both products to everyone, young and old, male and female. I also highly recommend visiting Clapperton's spa in the UK to not only treat yourself to a fantastic facial, but also to talk boots or coffee (FYI, she is addicted to Starbucks so bringing her a coffee might get you an extra 5 minutes). If you aren't heading overseas any time soon and find yourself in Seattle, do see the lovely Dr. Tami Meralgia at the Vitality Medispa and Wellness Center to pick up Planet Skincare products and book a service as well. For more information on Planet Skincare, please visit the official site below.

Which beauty products do you swear by? Would you use something on your face based on a viper's venom?
