Perfume Perplexed

With the release of Thierry Mugler's latest fragrance, Womanity, we have to ask: do you have a signature scent?
Thierry Mugler’s fragrance, Womanity, is the latest in what seems to be a never-ending wellspring of celebrity and designer perfumes. The word “womanity” was created to describe femininity, humanity, and city (though we kind of think throwing “city” in there is a stretch) and is also the name of an associated website created as a platform for women to connect to each other and release their creativity. The fragrance includes both savory (caviar) and sweet (fig) elements, and the bottle was designed to encapsulate all generations of women within the structural frieze on the cap.
Whether you love or hate the design, concept, and ad campaign (pictured below), we have a bigger question for you: How many perfumes do you own? After a preliminary office poll, it seems like there are two camps: Casey owns just three bottles, while I have closer to a dozen (with one on the way as we speak).
In the past three or four months, there have been lengthy articles in many of the major fashion magazines and on sites like Fashionista about finding your “signature scent,” but I have to confess it’s not something I’m interested in investing time or energy to do. I have much more fun selecting a scent to go with my mood, the weather, or even the outfit I’m wearing than sticking with the same on every day. Perhaps when I’m a little older I’ll want a signature scent – something my kids would recognize as being exclusively mine – but for now I have too much fun picking out a new scent for the season (and arranging those oh-so-pretty perfume bottles on my dresser) to stick with just one.
Which camp are you in: signature scent, or mix and match?

Although I currently wear J'adore by Dior most often, Estee Lauder's Paradise (which I wear on vacations only) and Hérmes Eau Des Merveilles for the winter months (it's very woodsy), I've definitely been searching for a new fragrance to call my own... I think I've found it in Chanel No.5 Eau Premier, but am still searching. Also, I bought my boyfriend Tom Ford for Christmas and it has quickly become his scent, which drives me wild and makes me purrrrr. -
