When we first set eyes on Lara Bohinc's premier jewelry collection 5 years ago, we wanted it all - and that is exactly how we now feel about her newly launched line of footwear.

Lara Bohinc: Baubles to Booties

Known for creating killer jewelry and handbags, Lara Bohinc has expanded into our favorite accessory group - footwear. And with seriously sexy sandals, featuring python print and chain, her first step into the market is one we're willing to follow.

"I design collections that feature a design idea which I then translate into bags, shoes and jewellery," she explained to Vogue UK. "I actually find that designing shoes is much easier than designing a bag, let alone a piece of jewellery, since you are limited by the shape of the foot. Jewellery on the other hand has the least limitations and is therefore more similar to sculpture... I always wanted to launch shoes, simply because I love them, and also to complete our range of leather goods which already includes handbags, belts and purses."

The Slovenian-born designer studied at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and has also received her MA in jewelry and metalwork from the Royal College of Art. In the past, she has collaborated with Gucci, Costume National, Lanvin, Exte, Guy Laroche, Marcus Lupfer and Julien Mcdonald, and is a freelance consultant for Cartier International.

What do you think of the line? Ready to ditch Christian for Lara?
