Lighten things up on the home-front with a few of our very favorite pieces for the summer months, from Starck's Parrot speakers to porcelain candle holders and more.

In a White House

For simply beautiful inspiration (especially for your outdoor space) look no further than Gandia Blasco. Responsible for the outdoor scene shown above (left), the company is known for it's modern, white furniture and accessories.

If you're looking to make a small change to your space, go with something you'll use everyday – like New Arcadia's fern glasses, $20.00. Less boring than a simple glass, these are handpainted with 24-karat gold leaf and will make any drink taste that much better.

In the summertime, we always bring out different candleholders than in the fall. CB2's white lotus candleholder, $14.95, makes a lovely addition to any room. Use with a tealight to illuminte your space anytime without any dripping wax to worry about.

We love it when trunks are incorporated into home décor – and although we favor antique leather ones, this white trunk from CB2 is sort of perfect. We'd stack two of these and top them with a larger piece of glass to create a chic side table. CB2 Metal Trunk, $69.99

Lamps are great home pieces to switch from seaon to season. If you've got a larger budget to play with, indulge in the clearly spectacular white windowpane selenite lamp by Brenda Houston, $2,240.00.

Super chic and sexy in white, the new Zimku Parrot speakers by Starck work incredibly well (seriously, plug in your iPhone/iPod and you're good to go), $1,600.

Inspired by its paper ancestor, Crate and Barrel's contemporary Japanese lantern is made of white weather-resistant nylon and powers up using the sun's energy. Designed with a flat bottom for tabletop display and a handle for hanging, this is one lamp that we'd pay more for than the asking price of $21.95.

And by now, you know that we're BIG fans of the decorative pillow. West Elm's distinctive, one-of-a-kind all-white Decostructed Rose Pillow, $49, is expertly ruched and folded by hand for extraordinary dimension and texture. A little girly, this one will add a feminine touch to even the most modern room.

Keep your space chic and smelling sweet with Jonathan Adler's Southampton Green Garden Diffuser, $68.00. This unglazed matte porcelain relief diffuser includes Southampton green garden scented oil and diffuser reeds. Use as a bud vase once the oil has been used up.

How do you have your home decorated? Do you switch things up for the summer?
