Carmindy's Bali

Although StyledOn beauty Carmindy just went to Bali for the first time this past January after hanging in Australia for the holidays, she's hooked and confesses to already booking her next two flights back!

"You must see a few places in Bali to get the full experience. I was in Ubud first staying at Waka Di Ume which was the magical artistic center of Bali. This is where you see incredible temples and real Balinese artwork, carvings and batik sarongs. I watched beautiful Legong dancers. Then I went to a beautiful cliffside beach resort called Karma Kandara. It was absolute heaven. You could feel the beach and ocean calling to you. The beach club called Nammos Beach Club is paradise! Then Seminyak for more nightlife and the best damn shopping I have ever experienced. All this hip designers are creating the best clothing. I came home with 12 new dresses plus shoes and jewelry!"

Favorite places to eat? In Ubud I loved eating at local dives like Naughty Nuris and in Seminyak the restaurant called Sarongs is chic and delicious! For a quick lunch Grocer & Grind is quick and cool. Any specific dish/drink you recommend? I love the rice and coconut nasi uduk. I have it for breakfast though it's really sweet like a desert.

What to wear? In Ubud I wore a pair of simple Havianna Flip Flops and cotton Indian printed dresses or tops from Calypso. You must wear a sarong around you when visiting temples out of respect so I bought a bunch and use some of them as tablecloths and beach blankets.

Place you hope to visit next? Morocco and Egypt

Carmindy simply has a way of making the world look lovely, doesn't she?
