We dare you not to dance to this.

Buraka Som Sistema Make You Move

Out now is the debut release from Buraka Som Sistema, and we insist you pick it up. Putting a single genre label on BSS would be ridiculous, as they are constantly teaming up with producers and MCs from around the world and evolving their sound, but one musical style that they are responsible in large part for bringing to light is kuduro. Their video "Sound of Kuduro" featuring the vocal stylings of M.I.A. exposes the contagion that is this dance-driven music and will have you clicking "play" over and over again.

The group consists of producers Lil' John, Riot and Conductor, and MC Kalaf, but the foursome has collaborated with such heavy hitters as Hot Chip and Kano to bring even more flavor to the gritty sounds of Angolan kuduro. Portuguese speakers BSS also recently released their first single in English, "Restless" (available on iTunes tomorrow!), and suffice to say there has been a desk-dance party at StyledOn for days.

To top off the funk, their live show is a total sweat fest and the best dance workout I can imagine. The crowd gets completely caught up in the pounding rhythms, and the energy does not let up for a second. Catch them on tour while you can, you'll be riding the high for days.

What do you think of Buraka Som Sistema and kuduro? Are you dancing yet?
