Coffee and cocktails and rockstars, oh my!
If the rock-chic design and decor of the Ace Hotel New York weren't enough to reel you in, then the perks and ammenities of this new hotspot in New York's NoMad district certainly will.
The mod-awesome rooms feature vintage furniture, flat screens, and some even come equipped with turntables to practice your DJing prowess. Quirky wall decals serve as decoration, and the plaid bedspreads will keep you cozy and warm in the winter months. For recessionistas hoping to save their cash for shopping, buddy up and stay in one of the Ace's bunk-bed rooms; still sweet but more bang for your buck.
When you're not spinning at your very own private hotel party or arguing over who gets the top bunk, hit the lobby for some action. In the AM, Stumptown Coffee is the place to be for your morning wake-up. This coffee company from Portland, Oregon is the Holy Grail of java, and trust us, it is well worth the wait.
In the PM hours, head to the newly opened Breslin Bar to try out their declious array of drinks and dining. The crowd is a hip mix of New Yorker's and travelers, so mix and mingle (and maybe even meet a hot date?) before you hit the streets in the big city. We'll see you there!
What Aces do you keep up your sleeve?
