Alexandra Ferguson started out in the fashion industry, running fittings and managing sample rooms for design houses such as Rebecca Taylor and Zac Posen. The very first pillows were made as a birthday gift for her best friend. Seeing that felt applique was such a fun and inspiring medium to work with, she kept going and everyone got a pillow for Christmas that year. With the holidays over, the sewing machines were put away. The apartment was tidied up. The threads were vacuumed off the carpet. And the story nearly ended there, if it wasn't for the sister of that first friend who's birthday had started it all. When she saw those very first pillows, she knew they would be a hit at retail. The word was put out. The Christmas overstock was put for sale on the internet. The sewing machines were brought back out. And the rest is history.
